Swayne Field was Toledo’s minor league park from 1909 to 1955.

Here in 1956 after wrecking crews had their swing at the stadium, these youngsters play a pickup game in the old park where Toledo’s baseball greats once cavorted. The batter is Skippy Dimon; pitcher, Charles Kries; catcher, Byron Dimon; third baseman, David Kosmatka, and onlookers William Perry, Bob Diehl and Micheal Kosmatka.
