CAPTION TEXT ON PRINT:

Macomber High School’s Jim Jackson slam dunks against Libbey High School on March 8, 1988. Despite losing three times to the Macmen in the regular season, the Libbey Cowboys would upset Jackson’s team in this contest 70-67, eliminating them from the playoffs. However, “JJ” would triumph the following year, delivering the black and gold of Macomber its lone title on March 18, 1989 with the  Division I boys basketball state championship, just two years before the school was shuttered. Jackson went on to have a stellar career playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes and 14 years in the NBA.
